Protect Swift Parrots Forever

Swift Parrots are incredible birds who migrate every year from their nesting trees in Tasmania across the Bass Strait chasing flowering gum trees to feed on.

But there are fewer than 1000 breeding pairs left to raise future generations.     

We want a future where Swift Parrots are a common sight in Tasmania, Melbourne backyards and the forests of the New South Wales Coast.     

But incredibly, we could see critical nesting habitat opened up for logging if the Tasmanian Parliament agrees.      

Meanwhile, logging of native forests known to be used by the species on the south coast of NSW is happening ...

Meanwhile, logging of native forests known to be used by the species on the south coast of NSW is happening in areas that were spared from fires.  

In the wake of these devastating fires, political leaders must deliver stronger nature laws to protect what is left.
