Toondah Harbour, just south-east of Brisbane, is part of the Moreton Bay Marine Park and a Ramsar wetland of international importance that provides important habitat for:

  • Threatened migratory shorebirds

  • Dugongs

  • Whales and dolphins

  • Sea Turtles

  • Koalas

The area is especially important for Critically Endangered Eastern Curlews which use the area to feed and fatten up to prepare for their 10,000 km trip to their breeding grounds in the Arctic Circle.

But this beautiful area is under threat.

Walker Corporation, Australia’s largest private developer, has proposed a 3,600-unit private luxury complex that will destroy this amazing place, including irreplaceable endangered bird habitat, and have serious impacts on the livability of the Redlands Coast.

87% of the local community does not support this destructive development.
